In the case of Marco Brandstätter, founder of the Fit-Flip and TerraTherm brands, it all began with a stroke of fate. A serious accident at the age of 19 radically changed his life: he lost both forearms and was in a coma for ten weeks. And yet he decides to live. For the way back. Step by step, he fights his way forward – not as a victim, but as a doer.
A vision grows out of this profound experience: to create products that make everyday life easier – practical, light, functional and reliable. This is how Fit-Flip is born, a brand that grows from a simple idea: a towel that delivers what
others only promise.
With the same attitude, TerraTherm is founded – a brand for natural heating pads with activated carbon. The pads do not require any electricity and provide reliable warmth during outdoor activities, winter sports, on the building site or at the Christmas market.
100 children. 100 opportunities.
Since 2025, Fit-Flip and TerraTherm have been supporting an education project run by Austrian Doctors in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Thanks to their monthly donation, 100 children from the slums have access to education, learning materials, a daily hot meal and medical care.
In a city where many children have to work before they can read, education is more than just teaching: it protects. It creates prospects. And it gives hope for a life beyond poverty and exploitation.
The Austrian Doctors schools are located directly in the slums of Dhaka. Where children live, work – and survive. Today, over 1,500 children attend these facilities. They not only receive lessons, but also medical care and a hot meal a day. For many, it is the only place where they feel safe – and can be children.
Responsibility as an attitude
“When you have experienced for yourself how life can change from one moment to the next, you see the world with different eyes,” says Marco Brandstätter. “That’s why it was clear to us: if we can contribute something – then we’ll do it!”
