Use of cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via a web browser. Numerous websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID, i.e. a unique identifier. It consists of a string of characters that can be used to assign websites and servers to the specific web browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the websites and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other web browsers that contain other cookies. A specific web browser can be recognized and identified via the unique cookie ID. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Facebook

Our website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition “Social plugin from Facebook” or “Facebook Social Plugin”. An overview of the Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.

When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly associate your visit to our website with your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or leaving a comment, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information at http://www.facebook.com/policy.php. If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the Facebook plugins from loading with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker “NoScript”, which you can download at  Find http://noscript.net/.

Use of Facebook Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function “Custom Audiences” of Facebook Inc (“Facebook”). This function is used to present interest-based advertisements (“Facebook ads”) to visitors to this website when they visit the social network Facebook. The Facebook remarketing tag (the so-called “Facebook pixel”) has been implemented on this website for this purpose. This tag is used to establish a direct connection to the Facebook servers when you visit the website. It is transmitted to the Facebook server that you have visited this website and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. When you visit the Facebook social network, you will then be shown personalized, interest-based Facebook ads. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for the legitimate interest in the above-mentioned purpose. You have the right to object to this processing of your personal data based on Art. 6 (1) f GDPR at any time. To do so, you can use the “Custom Audiences” remarketing function at  Deactivate https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads#_=_. You must be logged in to Facebook to do this. You can find more information about the collection and use of data by Facebook and about your rights and options for protecting your privacy at  https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

YouTube

This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider YouTube, which is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”). The plugins are marked with a YouTube logo. An overview of the YouTube plugins and their appearance can be found at https://developers.google.com/youtube/.

When you visit one of our subpages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our subpages you have visited. The extended data protection mode is used here, which, according to the provider, only initiates the storage of user information when a video is played. If the playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider YouTube uses cookies to collect information about user behavior. According to information from YouTube, these are used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behavior.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at  https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. You can also completely prevent the YouTube plugins from loading with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker “NoScript”, which you can download at  Find http://noscript.net/.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Please note that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “anonymizeIp” to ensure an anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR out of a legitimate interest in the needs-based and targeted design of the website. You have the right to object to this processing of your personal data based on Art. 6 (1) f GDPR at any time. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate technical settings in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by clicking on the link below.  Download and install the browser plugin available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Information on Google’s terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.

Use of Google Remarketing

This website also uses the remarketing function of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, in short: “Google”.

This function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A “cookie” is stored in the website visitor’s browser to recognize the website visitor when they visit websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these pages, the visitor can be presented with advertisements that relate to content that the visitor has previously accessed on websites that also use Google’s remarketing function. According to Google, it does not collect any personal data during this process.

The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for the legitimate interest of targeting visitors to the website with advertising by displaying personalized, interest-based ads to visitors to the provider’s website when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network. You have the right to object at any time to this processing of your personal data based on Art. 6 (1) f GDPR. To do so, you can permanently deactivate the use of cookies by Google by clicking on the link below  Download and install the plug-in provided by https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996?hl=de. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the further information on the opt-out mentioned there. You can find more information about Google Remarketing and the associated privacy policy at  https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

Use of Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

This website also uses Google Conversion Tracking. Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR for the legitimate interest in targeted advertising and the analysis of the impact and efficiency of this advertising. You have the right to object to this processing of your personal data based on Art. 6 (1) f GDPR at any time. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also reject the setting of a cookie required for this – for example, via a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also deactivate personalized advertising for you in the Google advertising settings. You can find instructions on how to do this at  https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de. In addition, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page of the Network Advertising Initiative at  https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implement the further information on opt-out mentioned there. You can find Google’s privacy policy on conversion tracking at  https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html.

Use of Google Maps

On our website we use Google Maps (API) from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visually display geographical information. Information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there as soon as you access the subpages in which the Google Maps map is integrated. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Nevertheless, it would be technically possible for Google to use the user data obtained through the use of Google Maps to identify users, to create personality profiles of users or to process and use them for third-party purposes, over which we have and can have no influence.

You can view Google’s terms of use at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html, the additional terms of use for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html. Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website (“Google Privacy Policy”) at  http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in connection with the use of Google Maps, you have the option of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and thus also the map display on this website can then not be used.

Use of Google Web Fonts

Our website uses so-called web fonts from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, for the uniform display of fonts.

When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address.

The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer. Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy:  https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
