The aim of the training center is to provide young adults from the underprivileged areas of Dhaka with vocational training. Unfortunately, the training center was unable to open for a long time due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The first courses started in 2023.
With funds from Red Charity and long-standing private supporter Erda Gschwendtner, Austrian Doctors started construction of the training center in the Manda district at the beginning of 2018. Construction was completed in April 2020. Unfortunately, due to the serious effects of the corona pandemic in Bangladesh, the training center could not be opened for a long time. The opening now took place at the beginning of 2023.
The aim of the training center is to give the younger generation of the underprivileged population the opportunity to receive vocational training in order to pave the way to a self-determined life for the young adults.
Together with our local team, we have arranged the following courses for the launch of the training center:
With the course on hygiene, nutrition and health, we want to build a bridge to our medical work in Dhaka and train the local health workers accordingly. Further vocational training programs with a focus on technical training, such as PV technicians, are already being planned.

"I have been working with Austrian Doctors for many years. Many years in which, thanks to you, countless children have been able to go to school and learn. Education is the future of Bangladesh."
