Current donation projects

Our medical work includes both direct health care and prevention through hygiene training, health education and protection programs for women and children. In Bangladesh, we operate both a clinic center and a "mobile clinic", which travels to a different poor area of the capital Dhaka every day. Volunteer doctors from Austria and Europe support the permanently employed local medical staff. The medical work also includes structural measures such as the construction of wells. Almost 3,000 school children attend the schools we support every day, where they not only receive an education but also a nutritious meal. For many children, this is unfortunately the only hot meal of the day. Through school and training projects as well as scholarships, we give children and adults prospects for the future and the chance to lead a self-determined life. Training and further education strengthen economic independence, while environmental projects such as reforestation and renewable energies help to secure livelihoods in the long term. We work closely with local partners in all our projects. This long-term cooperation enables sustainable developments that last for decades and secure a better future for local people.

Medical care in Dhaka

Our new medical project opened on the first floor of our training center in Dhaka in February 2023. It treats up to 300 patients a week and has its own pharmacy.

MAA Eroret School in Kenya

Austrian Doctors has been a partner of the MAA Eroret School in Loodoriak, Kenya, since 2017. MAA Eroret School is a school where over 300 children are taught. All pupils also receive a hot lunch every day. An opportunity to improve their lives in the long term.

Medical camps in India

Together with our partner organization Kamina Social Welfare Society, we provide medical care for those who no one else can help. In addition to general health checks, eye and dental check-ups are also offered in these camps.

Water project in Ethiopia

A lack of access to clean drinking water has an impact on health, educational opportunities and the economic development of entire settlement areas. We are therefore building a drinking water supply system in the small town of Busa for the approximately 30,000 inhabitants.

Your donation arrives

Since 2019, we have also been awarded the seal of approval for donations. This is the highest seal of approval for fundraising associations in Austria. The basis for obtaining this seal of approval is an annual, strict audit by an auditor with regard to the use of funds, low administrative costs, etc. This gives you as a donor the assurance that your donation will be handled responsibly by Austrian Doctors. Furthermore, donations to Austrian Doctors are tax-deductible in Austria.
