Arriving in Dhaka early in the morning, in the smog of the first rays of sunlight, had something truly special about it.

Immerse yourself in an extraordinary concert series where chamber music, cultural impressions, and culinary specialties blend into a unique overall experience, taking the audience on inspiring journeys to distant countries.

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the benefit matinée “Small Schubertiade” will take place at the Solitär of the University Mozarteum Salzburg
In February 2023, the renowned Salzburg photographer Joachim Bergauer accompanied Severin Schwaiger, former Managing Director of Austrian Doctors, on a project trip to Dhaka. On the one hand, the photographer visited all of Austrian Doctors’ projects and, on the other, got to know the metropolis of Dhaka more closely. During the two-week stay, a large number of breathtaking photos were taken.
Joachim Bergauer made his photos available free of charge in order to produce the photo book “Endstation Dhaka” with Austrian Doctors. The book documents life in Dhaka with all its beauty, but also with its abysses. Austrian Doctors’ projects are presented in pictures and text as a solution to the many problems on the ground.
The book is not for sale in the conventional sense, but is available for voluntary donations. If you are interested, please send us an email to: office@austrian-doctors.at
By the way: the book is perfect as a gift!
