Giving Tuesday, the global day of giving, takes place on November 30 this year. It is a young counter-movement to the consumer-intensive days of “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” and stands for doing good. In Austria, the day of action is promoted by the Fundraising Association Austria.
Our goal
As burns and other injuries are becoming more common due to the dangerous living conditions in the slum areas of Kenya and India, the association would like to provide 500 sterile wound treatments for those affected on Giving Tuesday. Wound care including bandages, disinfectant, healing ointments and tablets for pain and fever costs €9. This will help prevent secondary infections and serious illnesses and help those in need to lead a healthier life.
