AMARCORD WIEN’s most played program, which reflects the many years of collaboration and is constantly renewed. A kind of “best of” from the last twenty years. The quartet travels the world in search of musical points of contact and unfolds a highly sensual sound space with its very special ensemble sound, its wit and exuberant stylistic diversity.
The outer stations: Astor Piazzolla, Modest Mussorgsky, Erik Satie, Sebastian Gürtler and, on the occasion of his 250th birthday, the titan Ludwig van Beethoven, but from the perspective of the four musicians, whose wink always shines through. But it is not about composers, but about the stories, longings and dreams that can be discovered in this music.
With this concert, AMARCORD WIEN draws on the wealth of years of collaboration and celebrates its twenty years on stage with the same line-up. What all this music has in common is a great scope for the virtuosity and passion for playing of the four musicians.
