Tree Planting Workshop in Awasi – For a greener and more sustainable future

A tree planting workshop for the local community took place in Awasi, Kenya. The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness of environmentally friendly agriculture - and to convey concrete, applicable strategies. The participants worked, discussed and planted intensively together.

The contents of the Tree Planting Workshop included:

? Soil fertility & health – How does the soil remain fertile in the long term? Which natural fertilization methods are effective?

? Agroforestry & tree planting – What role do trees play in agriculture? How does mixed planting support biodiversity and protect against soil erosion?

? Seed management – The selection and maintenance of local, resilient varieties strengthens food security and independence.

? Reducing synthetic pesticides – How can plants be protected naturally without endangering the environment and health?

? A step towards the future

In the long term, this workshop will help communities like Awasi to make their agriculture more resilient, environmentally friendly and sustainable.
