On Friday, October 18, we are organizing the benefit concert “bluesig und quer” with the Querschlägern in Hallein.
The Querschläger are not only Salzburg’s best-known dialect band, but also a live band with a passion that has been well-rehearsed over the decades and can draw on a repertoire of 300 original compositions. The 7 musicians mix independent dialect poetry, various musical forms from blues, folk, rock and world music to Gstanzl, Tanzl and yodeling and wrap them up in varied arrangements with over 30 instruments – including: Contrabass clarinet, mountain horn, didgeridoo, hang, udu drums, sansula, tin-whistle, bagpipes and potatophone! This mixture is performed by a band that, even after 30 years, you can still feel the pure joy of making music together at every concert. The individual songs are combined with the legendary, cabaret-style “Gschichtln” by singer Fritz Messner.
Special program for the Austrian Doctors 2024:
For the special program for the Austrian Doctors on 18 October 2024, the Querschläger have put together a cross-section from 30 years of their work. The typical Querschläger mix is prepared from songs from their current album (((ECHO))), well-known long-running hits and rarely performed gems: Sometimes sly and satirical, sometimes serious, thoughtful or melancholy, but always earthy, honest and straightforward.
Where: Salzberghalle, Zatloukalstraße 1, 5400 Hallein
When: Opening buffet: 18:30, admission: 19:00, concert starts at 19:30
