Dr. Christian Gruber, an internist and tropical medicine specialist from Oberalm, takes his annual leave every two years to volunteer in the metropolis of Dhaka, Bangladesh. What drives him and why he is drawn to this chaos again and again, he reported on March 14 at the Stadtkino Hallein, at 7 pm.
The comparison with the African projects, the problems there and the differences were addressed by Christian Gross, probably our most active doctor on assignment. He has already worked six times in Kenya and Sierra Leone.
The guest contribution by Angela Kirchgatterer, administrative director and manager of the Abtenau retirement home (member of the Tennengau Health Network) focused on these interpersonal relationships in the care profession in Austria. With impressive practical examples, DPKS Kirchgatterer was able to build a bridge to the “here”.
