On this year’s Giving Tuesday, we have set ourselves a particularly important goal: to fund medicines for patients in our project countries. As an organization that has been providing medical aid and education in chronic crisis areas since 2008, we know that access to adequate medication often means the difference between life and death.
Our doctors treat 200-300 patients a week and we need almost €9,300 a year for medication alone. These figures illustrate the urgent need for our support.
Your support on Giving Tuesday can directly help bring hope and healing to these people. Every donation, large or small, helps us reach our goal and save lives.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support. Together we are sending a strong signal of solidarity and helping to alleviate the suffering of those who need it most.
Austrian Doctors is a global aid organization that has been passionately committed to medical aid and education since 2008. Our focus is particularly on the challenging environments in the slum areas of India and Bangladesh as well as remote regions in Kenya and Ethiopia. In cooperation with local doctors and the dedicated commitment of volunteer doctors from Austria, we have set ourselves the goal of sustainably improving health and quality of life in these regions.
Our mission:
In our project countries, our medical teams treat hundreds of patients every day. These countries face unique medical challenges, whether due to malnutrition, inadequate access to clean water or widespread disease. Our work focuses on providing much-needed medical care to these communities while strengthening local health structures.
Local partnerships:
Working closely with local doctors and healthcare organizations is key to our sustainable approach. Together, we develop tailor-made solutions to optimize healthcare in the communities. From vaccination campaigns to mother and child health programs to epidemic care, we are committed to ensuring that aid reaches exactly where it is needed most.
Female emergency doctors from Austria:
Our work is strengthened by the valuable commitment of volunteer doctors from Austria. These professionals not only bring medical expertise, but also an international perspective that adds value to our projects. Their selfless commitment helps to ensure that our help is not only effective, but also empathetic.
With your support, you are helping to ensure that Austrian Doctors can continue to be a bridge of help and hope for those who urgently need it. Together, we are shaping a future in which health and well-being are not luxury goods, but fundamental rights for all.
Help us to change lives. Donate now!
Since 2019, we have also been awarded the seal of approval for donations. This is the highest seal of approval for fundraising associations in Austria. The basis for obtaining this seal of approval is an annual, strict audit by an auditor with regard to the use of funds, low administrative costs, etc. As a donor, you can therefore be sure that your donation will be used responsibly by Austrian Doctors. Furthermore, donations to Austrian Doctors are tax-deductible in Austria.
"At Austrian Doctors, our commitment is more than just medical aid. In India, Bangladesh, Kenya and Ethiopia, people are fighting for their survival every day. Our mission is not only to bring healing, but also hope and sustainable change. By working together with local doctors and the commitment of our volunteer doctors from Austria, we create a bridge of solidarity. Together we are shaping a future in which everyone has the right to health and dignity!"
Severin Schwaiger, Managing Director Austrian Doctors
The idea for #GivingTuesday originated in the USA in 2012. The first #GivingTuesday took place in 2012. The movement spread quickly and now takes place in over 80 countries. The #GivingTuesday movement emerged as a counter-movement to the consumer frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and aims to create a day on which people can show their generosity and support social causes. True to the motto “Doing good is good for you!”
