Thanks to the generous support of the Salzmann family, a solar-powered water well now provides our projects in Awasi, Kenya, with clean water, creating lasting opportunities for better health, hygiene, and education—especially for children and girls.
Golden Heaven provides people with physical or intellectual disabilities with a safe home, meals, and medical care. At the same time, people from the surrounding community also benefit from the healthcare services offered. In mid-August, a total of 75 examinations were carried out during two health camps. Golden Heaven also welcomed a new resident.

In February 2023, the renowned Salzburg photographer Joachim Bergauer accompanied Severin Schwaiger, former Managing Director of Austrian Doctors, on a project trip to Dhaka. The photographer visited all of Austrian Doctors’ projects and he got to know the metropolis of Dhaka more closely. During the two-week stay a large number of breathtaking photos were taken.
Joachim Bergauer made his photos available free of charge in order to produce the photo book “Endstation Dhaka” with Austrian Doctors. The book documents life in Dhaka with all its beauty, but also with its abysses. Austrian Doctors’ projects are presented in pictures and text.
