You would like to make a donation for a charity, but don’t know how best to proceed? Austrian Doctorswill be happy to support you and provide ideas for a successful fundraising campaign.
Whether you are a former school class organizing a graduation party, a private individual or your soccer team wanting to do something good. We give you food for thought with which you can successfully realize your project.
Sport is not only healthy and fun, it can also help other people. This is how it works: Search for sponsors who are prepared to donate a fixed amount of money for every kilometer or lap run. The further or longer your participants runs for a good cause the more support in the form of medical help or education people in need receive.
Music connects and opens hearts – and hopefully wallets too! Organize a charity concert with singers and/or musicians from your area. The entrance fees are donated and benefit Austrian Doctors. If you are a musician yourself the stage can also be yours!
You have old clothes that you haven’t worn for years? You have various bits and pieces in your home and don’t know what to do with them? Then a flea market is just the thing for you – so clear out your home and collect donations for our projects at the same time.
This is how it works: Sort out old things, register a stall at the nearest flea market in your area and collect money.
Celebrating exuberantly and at the same time financing one of our projects? That sounds like a perfect plan, doesn’t it? Then start planning right away and get one step closer to realizing your fundraising campaign.
With a club, a school or graduation party you can easily collect donations and have a lot of fun at the same time. Organize a room, music and collect donations at the entrance.
Tip: Organize an additional raffle or offer a round of bingo – this will increase your donation income. Selling drinks and food can also help to collect more money in the donation box!
Who doesn’t enjoy a delicious piece of cake or a muffin? Homemade cakes always go down well and put you in a good mood and with every piece sold you can easily fill the donation box.
Use your talentsand your time to do good! At a neighborhood help auction you and your friends or club members can offer their time and skills for a donation. Whether gardening, tutoring, handicraft or other helpful activities – your support is needed. With every hour you work you not only help your neighbors, but also contribute to the financing of important projects. Offer your help and experience how community and solidarity can strengthen your neighborhood.
Clear out your home and do something good at the same time! At a special items auction you can sell antiques, handicrafts or other special items that you no longer need. Your discarded treasures will find new owners while the proceeds go towards one of our projects. Take advantage of this opportunity to create spaceand at the same time support Austrian Doctors. Every item you donate helps to do good.
If you don’t feel like jumping into the fray, you can – of course – do that online. There are now several platforms where you can sell your discarded clothes and items.
Time is probably the most valuable gift a person can give to others. Without the commitment and support of volunteers many things in the social sector would not be possible. The classic form of donating time is volunteering, where people use their free time for a charitable purpose. According to estimates by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Austria’s volunteers work 14 million hours a week. What an enormous amount!
