Children helping children

Fundraising campaign by class JM4 at Volksschule Liefering 2

The children of class JM4 at Volksschule Liefering 2, together with their class teacher Lisa Mörtelbauer and with the help of other classes, made crafts for the school’s Advent market. They donated the proceeds of €669 to Austrian Doctors.

Lisa Mörtelbauer became aware of the Austrian Doctors’ projects in Kenya after spending a year teaching at a public school there herself. Together with a supporter of Austrian Doctors, she informed the children of Liefering about the living conditions of their peers in East Africa, India, and Bangladesh. The children were clearly delighted to know that their donation could help disadvantaged children in these countries.
