“Endstation Dhaka” shows life in Bangladesh with all its ups and downs, capturing special encounters, moments and personal stories. This image and photo material, which has also been published as a photo book of the same name, was created during a project trip to Bangladesh in 2023.
After the screening, the audience had the opportunity to engage in an open discussion with Dr. Christian Gruber (co-founder and deputy chairman of Austrian Doctors), Severin Schwaiger (managing director of Austrian Doctors), Iris Schweinöster (producer of the film), Joachim Bergauer (photographer) and Josef Kugler (editor of the film) during a panel discussion. During the panel discussion, the team gave some insights into the genesis and challenges of the project as well as special moments.
From technical details and the filming process to the depth of content and medical issues, all topics were covered during the discussion. Many also approached us after the screening to talk about personal experiences, share further thoughts or tell us that the film had touched them deeply. We are very pleased that we were able to give a deeper insight into our work on the ground with this film.
A big thank you to everyone who made this evening possible!
The film “Endstation Dhaka” is the result of many hours of voluntary work, effort and passion on the part of those involved. We would like to thank Joachim Bergauer, Iris Schweinöster and Josef Kugler for accompanying us on the trip, filming, editing and the wonderful finished film. A big thank you also goes to Berit Glaser and Reinhard Grabher, who provided their voices as dubbing actors. Many thanks also to Tasnuba Schafflinger, who was responsible for translating the interviews.
We would also like to thank all the viewers – it was a pleasure to celebrate our premiere in the sold-out large movie theater! We look forward to showing this movie to even more people.
