Donors’ meeting on 30 April 2026

On 30 April 2026, our donors’ meeting took place at the “Das Grüne Hotel zur Post” with around 30 participants. In a pleasant atmosphere, there was an opportunity for personal exchange with our board member Christian Gruber and the team of Austrian Doctors.

The focus of the evening was on current updates from our projects in India and Bangladesh. Dr. Christian Gruber reported on his recently completed project trip and provided fascinating insights into the developments and challenges on site.

The personal exchange between our volunteer physicians and interested doctors was particularly valuable. The field reports from the missions provided authentic insights into the medical and humanitarian work of our organization.

We also received questions for Dr. Gruber via Instagram. We would like to share the three most interesting questions and answers with you:

What specific improvements have been achieved on site in recent years?

“Both in our medical projects and in our school projects, we have been able to achieve many improvements. The foundation for this is our strong and stable relationship with our partners on site. It enables us to continue driving sustainable development forward. In the medical project, we now have three doctors from Bangladesh on board who strengthen our continuous presence. Our diagnostic capabilities have been significantly improved. However, many people in Bangladesh still do not have the resources to pay for a doctor or medication themselves – they continue to rely on our support.”

What motivates you to continue taking part in such missions?

“Such missions are not something you ‘take on’—quite the opposite. Despite all the effort involved, it is a very fulfilling activity and brings joy. We focus on what we can do and continuously see many improvements.”

What personally moved you the most on your last trip to India and Bangladesh?

“Both in India and in Bangladesh, I repeatedly experience moments of great closeness and connection with the people on site. These moments are a special form of happiness.”

We would like to sincerely thank all participants for their great interest, the open and inspiring conversations, and their valuable support of our projects. The personal exchange, shared commitment, and trust placed in us make such gatherings especially meaningful and motivate us to continue our work with full conviction. We are all the more looking forward to seeing you again at our next events.
