On 22.11.2019, our founder, Dr. Werner Waldmann, was honored with the Golden Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria. Dr. Waldmann’s unrestricted commitment to people in need worldwide has made him a role model for Austrian civil society.
We are delighted to receive this prestigious award, which was presented by Ambassador Dr. Schweitzer at a ceremony last Friday. We are proud of our founder Werner Waldmann.
“I am very happy about this immaterial honor, if it is meant as a confirmation of the work of Austrian Doctors,” said Waldmann in his speech.
At the award ceremony in Vienna, Christian Gruber and his wife, Severin Schwaiger and project partner Babul Hoq from Bangladesh were present from the Austrian Doctors team, as well as a small part of Dr. Waldmann’s large family.
