Back to school life – with new impulses and lots of motivation

After the summer break, classes at St. Francis Assisi School started on June 12 - with a high level of participation.

Even on the first day, attendance was pleasingly high, which shows how much the children enjoy coming back to school.

There were already special activities during the vacations: On June 8, a summer camp was held for the school’s dance group. Eleven children took part, performing creative dances and taking part in musical games. Small prizes were awarded at the end, a highlight for all participants and a great way to get in the mood for the new school semester.

The school also offers numerous additional activities during regular school hours: 38 children regularly attend dance classes, ten take part in karate lessons, including many girls. There are weekly yoga classes for all children in grades 3 to 8. The offer is supplemented by art classes, in which the children can work creatively.

The additional coaching classes in the afternoon are particularly popular: 31 pupils are currently taking part. They receive targeted support in small groups, which not only improves their academic performance. A further 27 children received school materials as social support in June. A contribution that has a noticeably positive effect on motivation and attendance.
