Good news from Awasi

The first children successfully complete pre-school.

Our Community Center in Awasi is a safe place for the youngest members of society to grow up in peace. The nearest kindergarten and preschool would be too far away for the children. That is why there is a kindergarten and two preschool classes at our Community Center. In Kenya, pre-school is one of the compulsory school years. We are delighted that 10 pupils have now successfully completed the second year of pre-school. However, the educational path does not end with our preschool. The little ones will all attend a nearby elementary school from the next school semester. We are proud of the children’s achievements and are very happy for them.

Our project partner Rose reports: “It is amazing to see how proud the children are, how proud the parents are. A few years ago, it was not possible for some families to send their children to the kindergarden and preschool. Thanks to our Community Center the children have the chance to learn. We are happy for the kids. We wish them a bright future and hope that they will continue their education until the university level.”
